My Baby turns two on Friday. This will be the first birthday we get to celebrate with her.I can’t tell you how excited I am. I may be just a teeny tiny, eensy weensy, little bit living vicariously through her. About 25 people will be coming over to our humble bungalow on Saturday to celebrate. That’s if everyone invited shows up. This party business is work let me tell you. There is cleaning, shopping, baking, list making, goody bag making… Oh My. I have lists upon lists. Even my lists have lists. I have to dig out & clean the punch bowl for the princess punch I will prepare. Each child attending will get a goody bag.
I’m going to attempt to make a princess
doll cake. But I also have to order a cake, as the princess cake will not feed enough people. I have banners, streamers, a tiara, noisemakers and such. I would have bought so much more stuff but I had a budget to stick to.I bought her present long ago and have started picking up things for the party a few months ago. The only thing left to do is clean, get the cake, and pick up the fixings for the sundae bar. My In-laws gave me this snack party ice cream contraption and what a better excuse to try it out that a birthday party. I don’t have any games planned really. What does one do for a toddler party?
Her little cousins and friend attending the party are age 6 and younger. I figured they would just play and eat. So since her birthday is Friday but we are not celebrating until Saturday I was going to make her a special tiny heart cake for Friday and let her open her present from us. I know she is none the wiser about her actual birthday and we could just wait until Saturday but Friday is her birthday and I still want to do a little something. Is that silly ? Do you all have any birthday tips or games? I’m off to scour the Internet looking for more birthday ideas. I will let you all know how my cake turns out next Monday.
