I can clearly pinpoint the 72 hour period about 3 months into her placement with us when she made the CONSCIOUS decision to "put her eggs in my basket". And we have never looked back. But you know what? A child has to love themselves before they can love a parent. And my other adopted daughter has yet to master that...
