Happy Love Thursday Everyone. We are so ready for nicer weather already. Our swing set in the backyard is just taunting us. It’s still to cold to stay outside for too long but rumor has it that it may finally get nice this weekend. We put up the swing set late last summer and Livi was still too young to really benefit from it all that much. She could hardly climb up by herself and she did not get much use out if it before the cold winter winds came blowing. This summer she is sure to really have fun with it. We have had a few nice days sprinkled in this yucky weather and already she can climb the rock wall with ease. She has grown eight inches since being home and this spring/summer I know she will really enjoy her swing set.


There is something so therapeutic about pushing your child on a swing. Is it just me that feels that way? I also love watching my husband push her and he gets her going much higher than I feel comfortable with but I know she is safe in his care. Soon she will no longer need her baby swing and will be learning to kick her legs and swing on the big girl swing. I tried to teach her how to lie on her belly to swing but she was not ready for that step. For now she still wants to be in her baby swing and that is fine by us.

Whenever I glance out our bay window and see our backyard full of plastic bright colored toddler toys, cars, balls, the big red crab sandbox…. there is no denying that we have a child. I just smile and I know its going to be a great spring. Happy Love Thursday!
