Last Friday was my 39th birthday… my first birthday as a Mom. I can’t even begin to tell you how special it was to celebrate with my husband & daughter. You know us Sagittarius gals are sensitive; we get sentimental and weepy over the smallest things. As a former infertile I would dread my birthdays. From the age 29 and on I would say “ well for sure by my next birthday I will certainly be a Mom” anyone who has struggled with their biological clock can relate to the pain & frustration of getting older and feeling as if your time is running out faster than sand in an hourglass.


The pain of wondering if it will ever happen. Not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, not knowing if I would be Childless forever. Year after year went by, failed treatments and at every birthday I would blow out my candles and wish for a child. That was my only wish. My husband and I believe you must make a wish on your birthday. Whether it’s cake, a pie, cookie, a cup cake and birthday jello even… something to stick a candle in and make a wish on your birthday. I would pray, “ Please God make me a Mom” and blow out my candle and will it to happen. By my next birthday I will be a Mom I would say trying to always be hopeful. Well My wish finally came true… it took nine years but My Grandma was right when she said " Good things come to those who wait". This was the first year that I no longer had to wish for a child. I’m finally a Mom, I am happy, I am content, and I am so blessed.This was a birthday to remember.
